Before anything else
Entry is for adults 18 and over. If gambling is affecting your life or that of someone close to you, call Gambling: Help and Referral (Jeu : aide et référence) at 1-800-461-0140 — free, confidential, bilingual, 24 hours a day across Québec — or 514-527-0140 in the Montréal area. Our page on responsible gambling explains self-exclusion.
The Casino de Charlevoix stands at 183 rue Richelieu, beside the hotel at number 181. It is not part of Fairmont: it is operated by Loto-Québec, Quebec's provincial lottery and gaming corporation, which markets the casino and the hotel together as the Hôtel-Casino de Charlevoix. We describe it here because it is part of the complex and guests ask about it, not to encourage anyone to visit it. The information comes from Loto-Québec's "Plan your visit" page, read on 31 October 2026.

What is inside
Loto-Québec describes a floor with over 700 slot machines, electronic gaming terminals, sports-betting terminals and 9 gaming tables. On the ground level are Bar 21, the St-Hubert bar and the St-Hubert Signé Casino restaurant, all inside the 18+ area. Loto-Québec also links the casino to the conference centre, which it says can host up to 1,000 guests across 14 event spaces.
House rules worth knowing
- The establishment is smoke-free inside and outside; smoking and vaping cannabis are also prohibited.
- Backpacks, motorcycle helmets, umbrellas and similar belongings are not allowed inside.
- A coat check operates during opening hours all year except in summer.
- Lost property: everyday items are kept for 60 days, higher-value items for about a year.
- The cash desks offer bank withdrawals and exchange US dollars and euros into Canadian dollars.
Getting there and parking
From the hotel, the casino is a few steps away; Wikipedia's article on the hotel says the two buildings are joined by an underground passage. Loto-Québec says free outdoor parking is available in lots P4 to P10, while the garage levels P1 to P3 are paid, and that electric-vehicle charging stations are available. Its general shuttle service is suspended until further notice. A taxi service is available at all times.
Accessibility
Loto-Québec says the complex is accessible to guests with limited mobility. Wheelchairs can be borrowed at the casino coat check on request, but they cannot be reserved and availability is not guaranteed.
Protections
Loto-Québec runs a voluntary self-exclusion program for its casinos and gaming halls, and describes its staff as trained to spot and support anyone who may need help — what it calls a "support chain". Its rules note that facial recognition is used only for people who have self-excluded and consented to it. Details and links are on our responsible gambling page.
Our position
This site exists to help people choose a room at the Manoir. We do not promote gambling, we do not publish offers, promotions or game information, and nothing here is an invitation to visit the casino. If you are booking a quiet stay and would rather be far from it, tell us on the request sheet; the hotel is large and the casino is a separate building.
