Seven families of rooms

Rooms and suites, and the river in the window

The Manoir has 405 rooms and suites. They fall into seven families, and the most important word in their names is the shortest one: view.

Choosing a room at the Manoir is simpler than the long list on the booking engine suggests. Most categories come in pairs — the same room with or without the St. Lawrence in the window — and in two or three bed configurations: one King, one Queen, or two Doubles. Once you know which pair you are looking at, the decision is really about space and about the view.

Sizes are those printed on the hotel's room pages on 31 October 2026. The hotel's home page also mentions two-bedroom suites, but we found no page describing them; if you need one, say so on the request sheet and we will ask.

What every room has

The hotel's room pages list the same core kit across categories: a 42-inch HDTV, a Nespresso machine and a kettle, a mini-bar with snacks, bathrobes, a hair dryer, an iron and board, an alarm clock and radio, air conditioning, a work desk, wireless internet, pay-per-view, and — worth noting in a building of this age — windows that open. Bath products are by Le Labo. On request the hotel provides cribs, rollaway beds, a bed board, a fridge, and connecting rooms. For families it mentions high chairs and colouring books as well.

Three questions that choose the room for you

Does the river matter?

If you are coming to look at the St. Lawrence — and most people are — take a category with "View" in the name. The plain Fairmont and Deluxe rooms are, in the hotel's words, "located throughout the hotel", which means some will look over courtyards, roofs or the gardens. That can be lovely in its own way, but it is not the postcard.

How many people, and for how long?

The 21 m² rooms are comfortable for two for a night or two. For a family, or for a longer stay, the 27 m² Deluxe rooms add a sitting area with a sofa bed, and the hotel pitches them at exactly that use. The one-bedroom suites put a door between the bed and the sofa, which matters once children go to sleep before you do.

Is it an occasion?

The Deluxe View Jacuzzi King is the room the hotel describes for a romantic weekend: open plan, river view, a large Jacuzzi in the room. La Charlevoix Suite is for the rare occasion that calls for a grand piano and a dining table for guests.

Pets, accessibility and the fine print

Dogs and cats are accepted at $60 per room per night according to the hotel's guest-services page; Loto-Québec's page for the complex gives a different figure, $25 per night, for service animals and household pets. We print both and suggest you confirm the amount when booking. Pets must never be left alone in the room. The hotel has ten adapted rooms; details are on our accessibility page. Check-in is at 4 p.m., check-out at 11 a.m.

Room rates change daily and we do not print them. The request sheet below will get you real availability and a real price for the category you choose.

How many rooms does the Manoir have?

Fairmont counts 405 rooms and suites.

Are all rooms the same size?

No. Fairmont and Fairmont View rooms are 225 sq ft (21 m²), Deluxe and Deluxe View rooms 290 sq ft (27 m²), the Jacuzzi King 340 sq ft (32 m²), the one-bedroom suites 360 to 400 sq ft (33 to 37 m²) and La Charlevoix Suite 1,200 sq ft (111 m²).

Can I open the windows?

The hotel's room pages list opening windows among the room features, along with air conditioning.

Which room should we look for?

Pick a category below, or leave it on best value and say what matters most: the river, space for children, a bath with a view. We answer by email with what is actually open.

Thank you — your sheet has reached our desk. We check the dates with the hotel or a booking partner and write back with what is open and the price. Nothing is booked or charged until you agree.

We are paid a booking commission only when a request sent from this sheet becomes a confirmed stay — by the hotel or by the booking partner that completes it, never by you. How we earn. This is a request, not a reservation, and we never ask for a card number.
