What we collect
When you send the request sheet, we receive what you write: your name, email address, telephone number if you give it, the number of people, your dates, the room or view you would like, your note, your consent to be contacted, and the address of the page you sent it from. Our server also sees the technical information any web server sees, such as your IP address, in order to deliver the page and to protect the form against abuse.
Why we collect it
To answer your request: to check availability and prices for Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu and to write back to you. We do not use your details for newsletters or marketing, and we do not sell them.
Who we share it with
To check availability we may share the details needed for your stay — name, dates, number of guests, room preference and any requests — with the hotel's reservations team or with a booking partner that can reserve the hotel. If you then book, the hotel or partner handles your booking under its own privacy policy. We share nothing else, with no one else, unless the law requires it.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. There is no Google Analytics, no tag manager and no social-media pixel.
Google Maps
Maps on this site are provided by Google. On the home page the map is not loaded until you press the button to show it; nothing is sent to Google before that. On the "Getting here" page a Google map is embedded and loads from Google when you reach it on the page. When a Google map loads, or when you follow one of our Google Maps links, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, under Google's privacy policy.
Hosting and delivery
The site is hosted on a DigitalOcean server in Toronto, Canada, and delivered through Cloudflare, which processes visitors' IP addresses to deliver pages and to protect the site from attacks. Request-sheet submissions are passed from our server to our desk, where they are read by the people who answer them.
How long we keep it
We keep a request for as long as we need it to answer you and to follow up any stay that results from it, and we delete it sooner if you ask us to.
Your rights
Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, withdraw your consent, and ask us to delete it. Write to hello@lamalbaiestays.com; the person responsible for personal information at La Malbaie Stays is the editor who answers that address. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information.
Children
The request sheet is meant for adults arranging a stay. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change how we handle personal information — for example, if we ever add analytics — we will update this page and its date first.
