Eating at the Manoir follows the calendar more than in a city hotel. Two of the dining rooms are seasonal, the pool bar shuts for the winter, and the casino's restaurant and bar keep their own hours and their own age rule. Here is how the hotel and Loto-Québec describe each place, and what we noticed about when they are open. All four hotel restaurants are open to the public as well as to guests; Loto-Québec recommends reserving but says it is not required.
Le Saint-Laurent
The main dining room, and the one the hotel puts forward when it talks about its kitchen: "creative cuisine showcasing Charlevoix's local products" with river views to match. Loto-Québec's listing, read on 31 October 2026, describes it as open every day with an à la carte menu inspired by regional products. The hotel's packages also mention it as a stop on the region's agrotourism route, the Route des Saveurs, with local cheeses, charcuterie and baked goods. This is the room for a long dinner on the evening you arrive. The hotel's own list of distinctions includes a MICHELIN Key in the 2025 MICHELIN Guide — an award to the hotel as a whole, not a star for the restaurant.
Le Bellerive and Le Bellerive Café
Le Bellerive is the convivial one, "a place for sharing" in the hotel's words, with a terrace that it calls a must in season. Its breakfast is the one with the signature maple syrup crêpes. Beside it, Le Bellerive Café serves coffee, pressed juice and homemade pastries for those who would rather take breakfast standing up. One caution: when we checked Loto-Québec's restaurant page on 31 October 2026, Le Bellerive was marked "Closed. We'll be back next spring." If you are coming between late autumn and spring, ask where breakfast is being served.
Le Point Cardinal
Up at the golf course, with views over the fairways and the river. It serves breakfast and lunch and has what the hotel calls "Charlevoix's most beautiful terrace" for a drink after a round. It is open during the golf season only, which the golf page gives as May to October.

Bar La Brise, in the Grand Hall
La Brise is the lobby bar, and in the descriptions of both the hotel and Loto-Québec it is the room with the fire and the piano: "crackling fire, live piano music and inviting warmth". The hotel speaks of regional discoveries and cocktails with local flavours. It is the natural place to wait for a table or to end the evening. Loto-Québec states that guests must be 18 or older to be admitted to the hotel bars as well as to the casino's.
Bar Le Zéphyr, at the pool
The summer bar at the hotel pool, for "sunny afternoons". Loto-Québec listed it as closed until next spring on 31 October 2026.
In-room dining
Room service runs every day from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., according to Loto-Québec's practical page, with the usual note that the schedule may change. On a winter evening with the river going dark outside, this is not the worst option.
Next door, in the casino
On the ground level of the Casino de Charlevoix are the St-Hubert Signé Casino restaurant and the St-Hubert bar, and Bar 21, which Loto-Québec calls "the place to go on Friday and Saturday nights in La Malbaie", with live music and special events. All three are inside the casino and so open only to adults 18 and over, with photo ID; St-Hubert also offers takeout. See our page on the casino for its hours and rules.
Our suggestions
- Book Le Saint-Laurent for the first evening, and ask for a table by the windows while it is still light.
- In golf season, take lunch at Le Point Cardinal even if you are not on the course; the terrace is the reason.
- Out of season, check which breakfast room is open before you plan an early start for the whales.
- Drive or walk down to Pointe-au-Pic and La Malbaie for at least one meal; the tourism office lists restaurants on the river and in town.
Hours and openings are taken from the hotel's dining page and Loto-Québec's restaurants and bars pages, read on 31 October 2026.
- Do I need to be a hotel guest to eat at Le Saint-Laurent?
No. Loto-Québec states that the hotel restaurants — Le Saint-Laurent, Le Bellerive, Le Bellerive Café and Le Point Cardinal — are open to all. Reservations are recommended but not required.
- Can children come into the hotel bar?
Loto-Québec says guests must be 18 or older to be admitted to the casino and hotel bars and to the St-Hubert Signé Casino restaurant. The hotel restaurants are open to everyone.
